Tortilis is a beautiful camp, set on a hillside facing east with views across the border with Tanzania to Mount Kilimanjaro. It is named after the flat-topped (umbrella) thorn tree Acacia tortilis and located within the Kitirua Conservancy bordering Amboseli National Park so we will be having drives in both areas.
I had asked for a room with a good view of the mountain and also the waterhole and to my amazement we have Tent 1 – THE BEST! The best view, the shortest walk to the eating etc areas.
