Kicheche - Day 4 PM

The song of this Rufous-Naped Lark is beautiful.

Charles made a great spot with this Tree Agama (very different from the Rock Agama - no red).

Lazing cheetahs once again.

Wallowing hippo

Judging by the lascivious grin on this one's face, I'm not entirely sure his intentions are honorable!

Strutting Secretary Bird

This male cheetah is new to the area, we haven't seen him before.

He's obviously eaten recently, his stomach is very large.

He has the most amazing eyes.

I don't know if you've noticed the white spots on the grass in many photos, with the heavy rains this small flower Cycinium tubulosum can now been seen all over the area.  Its common name is Tissue Paper Flower as from a distance it appears as if that's what has been strewn all over the place.  Another lovely wild flower is Crossandra subacaulis which comes in various shades of orange.

This pair of Mountain Reedbuck were a surprising find.

A fairly quiet afternoon but as we have to leave at crack of dawn tomorrow, we were happy to get back and do some packing.
