Serian - Day 2 PM

After a delicious lunch we have a few hours welcome down time, both of us are struggling with the pace and heat!

As it will be our 16th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow we'd pre-arranged spending the night in Serian’s Nest.  This is a tree house located the other side of the Mara River and a little way from their other camp Serian Ngare.  In view of its isolated position we thought it would be a good idea to make sure it was something we definitely would like before the staff went to the trouble of getting it all prepared.

So at 17:00 when the sun was cooling down a bit we, James and Moses made our way over the rope chain and wooden slatted bridge to the other camp and onward for about 10 mins to the Nest.

Ian pretty much knew before he saw it that he wouldn’t feel comfortable and having climbed up and inspected it, he knew for sure.  Lovely, but not for us.

I've warned Moses the only way to stop me taking so many pictures of him is to wear a baseball cap like James, but actually judging by the way he engaged with the camera I think he quite enjoyed it.

Ian almost back on "our" side of the river.

We very much enjoyed the walk (route march) though, so when James suggested another walk tomorrow morning we readily agreed.
